The Elan Wingman 86 Ti skis with bindings are an amazing killer deal for skiers who are looking to go really fast all over the mountain. These were some of the more surprising skis that we've been on in the past few years, and it seems like they have rocket boosters in them or something like that. It's hard to pinpoint exactly how they get to be so fast, but I think it has a lot to do with the dual-metal laminate, the Trueline technology, and the Amphibio rocker profile. Any ski that has two sheets of metal is going to be stable, and since that metal does add weight, it turns out to be a heftier ski that feels the forces of gravity a bit more efficiently. Trueline technology helps by placing more of the mass of the ski over the inside halves of the ski. Since these are right/left-specific and asymmetric in nature, it makes sense that they can vary the amount and location of certain types of material. This gives the inside portion of the ski more bulk, and therefore feels strong and stable during a carved (or skidded) turn. This Trueline technology combines well with the Amphibio rocker profile, again taking advantage of the asymmetry of the skis, and rockering the outside edges of the skis while leaving the inside edges fully cambered. This allows the ski to roll up on edge easily and smoothly, allowing for an easy transition between turns. Where to Find Your Boot Sole Length (BSL)
The boot sole length is not your foot size or boot size; it is a millimeter measurement of the boot shell. Ski boot manufacturers emboss this measurement into the plastic shell at the heel or under the arch. The number will fall between 255-365mm for an adult ski boot. This number will be greater than your mondo boot size (
eg.
a mondo size of 23.5 commonly has a BSL of 275mm). Please include the “mm” unit to indicate that the number given is the BSL and not the mondo size. Without this precise manufacturer's measurement, we cannot mount your skis.
If we are given incorrect mounting info, the buyer will be responsible for any remounting or restocking fees.
Binding Check:
Buyer is responsible
for taking Ski + Binding to a certified ski shop before use to make final adjustments and do a safety release check.  We do NOT set DIN levels.
Product Availability
Our eBay store shares much of its inventory with our family-owned retail store in Stowe, VT and sometimes our inventory is not accurate due to purchases made locally. If you purchase something that is sold out, we will try our best to find you a suitable replacement item. Any payment for an item that is not available will be refunded immediately.
