This is a pretty piece and may look nice as a companion piece to the Johnson Bros. old English castles in color. The photos look like the background is white but it is more of a cream color with a burgundy red design.
The image looks to be an old Italian or German cathedral.
The name of the company was Antiche Riproduzioni (translates from Italian simply as Antique Reproductions). The website for this company is no longer active but a lot of research into this maker has concluded that is this the origin of this maker.
It is clean, unstained, and likely was more of a decorative piece than used as a teapot. No chips but one minor break as described below.
Please note the lid 'stop' or 'tab' on the edge of the lid was broken off
(see my photo) but it is wrapped and included with the piece. I will leave it to the buyer to either glue it back in place or leave as is. Either way it doesn't prohibit it's use for tea.
