Over time the wax filter in your hearing aid can become blocked with wax and needs replacing.  Your ear canal produces ear wax which may clog up the ear piece. Ear wax is one of the main causes of problems in hearing aids. Most hearing aids come with a filter or other device to prevent wax from entering the instrument. WaxStop filters are an effective and easy-to-use wax protection system for your Hearing Aids. WaxStop packets come with 8 replacement wax filters for your hearing aids. The black tools hold the new WaxStop on one end and the other end is used to remove the existing WaxStop. Use the wax protection system and tools to clean away any accumulated wax each day.
The WaxStop filter should be changed:
When you can see that the filter placed in the mould is clogged.
When the hearing aid does not sound normal.
Replacement instructions:
Remove the tool from the shell. The tool has two ends, one with a new filter and one with the removal tool.
Insert the removal tool into the sound outlet of the mould.
Pull the used WaxStop filter out slowly keeping the tool straight.
Turn the tool 180 degrees.
Push the new filter into the sound outlet and gently remove the tool.
Discard the used tool. Do not reuse.
