Choosing the correct type (nano vs. Micro) is based on the inner diameter of the hearing aid tube.
For hearing aids tubes with inner diameter equal or less than 0.9 mm Nano cleaning threads will be the ideal.
For hearing aid tubes with inner diameter bigger than 0.9 mm the micro cleaning rods will be the most ideal.
Note: Keep in mind that the nano tubes will be appropriate for all thickness as regardless of the size of the tubing diameter the cleaning thread will go through.  Micro tubes on the other hand tend to be a little stiffer and are preferred from users especially with thicker diameter tubes as they tend to last longer.
