Sadler England Victorian-type Teapot #2657Vintage 1937-1947
Excellent condition!
Cream background with pink & yellow roses, some small blue floral accents.
Green leaves.
Hand painted gold trim throughout teapot.
Absolutely no chips, cracks or stains.
Some crazing
visible.
Embossed on the bottom is "Sadler England" with 2657 painted in gold.
Embossing on the bottom of teapots was typical of the Sadler teapots of that time.
James Sadler was a popular English manufacturer of teapots.
He built a factory in Burslem in Stoke-on-Trent in 1882 and was one of the leading manufacturers of teapots in the UK.
He made a name for himself by making fine earthenware teapots.
James Sadler's collector's teapots are sought all over the world and are synonymous with quality and good taste.
