    Vintage and Rare 1937 Sadler Burslem ENG Earthenware Black Floral Gold Decorated Teapot.
    Glaze has a purplish tint. Floral decorations and mfg mark are hand painted. I believe the gold design is a type of stencil. Earthenware shows through glazing for a unique effect.
    There are several chips on the lid and tip of spout. Lid has large piece broken out. Some of the filding shows wear from use. Considering the age of the piece, overall condition is good.
