Description
Welcome to South of the River AntiquesFor Sale: A very neat vintage Teapot. Sadler is the maker, made in England. The pattern of the teapot is called 1801 by Sadler. Depicts and outdoor scene, trees and water, floral, very neat. The teapot is in fair vintage condition. There is light crazing throughout the teapot, there is one chip on the rim, not very noticeable when the lid is on, there is ware throughout commensurate with age and use, there is paint loss on the spout. There is a small flea bite on the bottom of the lid's bottom base, not noticeable when lid is on. The bottom is stamped with the Sadler makers mark, but the mark is faded, based on the mark we believe this teapot dates to circa 1940. The teapot measures 6" tall with lid on and 9" wide spout to handle.
